PCDT(SCIO) have signed a 3 year management lease to operate and manage Portpatrick Village Hall. The Hall remains in the ownership of Dumfries and Galloway Council. PCDT have taken over responsibility for hall lets, pricing, developing the full business case for the hall going forward while taking a lead in the day to day management, D&G retain responsibility for building fabric and maintenance.
Day to day management will be the responsibility of a new hall management group, comprising representatives of hall user groups. At this time we would invite any interested bodies to nominate a representative to become part of the proposed hall management group. The hall management group will be a stand alone unincorporated body those involved are not expected or required to become members of PCDT (SCIO). Future Development
Within the three year lease period PCDT(SCIO) will be working with the Hall Management Group to develop a financially sustainable business plan promoting events and use of the hall as a function venue for the hall while allowing it to continue to remain as a valued community resource.
