Meet the Trustees

Harry McRandle – Chair
Hi all, I am Harry McRandle, born in Paisley, raised in Lancashire and recently moved to Portpatrick full time after owning a holiday home for 3 years. A PCDT volunteer and elected to the board of Trustees in 2024 and subsequently elected as Chair.

Mary Palmer – Deputy Chair
Hello. My name is Mary Palmer. I have lived in Portpatrick for many years. I’m a Social Worker, working locally, and I have been involved in various community groups over the years. I joined Portpatrick Community Development Trust (PCDT) at its inception and became a Trustee in 2023. As a Trustee, I enjoy being involved in organising and volunteering at community events, such as Rockin The Port, and Halloween and Christmas events for the local children. It is very rewarding to see everyone enjoying themselves at these community gatherings and the praise and thanks that we receive from the many people who attend our events makes our efforts worthwhile. Our community focused gatherings foster such a rewarding sense of community cohesion. I also enjoy spending time with family, kayaking, singing, cooking, baking and enjoying long country walks. I have a passion for gardening and along with my husband Alex, I love to travel.

Lewis Wilson – Treasurer
Born and raised in Portpatrick, Lewis moved to Glasgow when he was 18. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and working in the city for almost a decade, Lewis and his husband moved back to Portpatrick in 2022. When he’s not working Lewis can be found volunteering, out on a walk or cuddled up at home with a good book.

Donna Westbrook
I’m Donna Westbrook, a 46-year-old mum of three living in the village with my beloved dog Sox and cat Rose. My background is in youth and community work, as well as charity work, including fundraising and policy writing. I love meeting new people, enjoy music, being creative, and spending time with family and friends. I’m excited to contribute to our community and helping to bring about positive changes to our village hall and other projects.

Bill Logan
Hi everyone, I’m Bill Logan, and I’m 70 years old. I’ve had a long-standing connection with our village and have been involved with PCDT for the past few years as a volunteer and Co-opted Trustee. Before this, I served in the Police Force and was honored with an MBE. I’m passionate about fundraising, charity work, and DIY projects, and I’m looking forward to using my skills to help develop the hall and activities in our village. I’m also the Coordinator for Rockin the Port, and I can’t wait for this year’s event!”

Linda Crawley
Linda has lived, worked and raised her family in the village since the 70s. Following her recent retirement Linda has been volunteering and supporting PCDT with her free time. She is a particular fan of Rockin The Port to relive the sounds of her youth and organising events for the local children.

John Rain
Hello, my name is John Rain, and I’m a new Trustee with PCDT. I enjoy wildlife, animals, fishing, and being outdoors. I also enjoy vintage tv programmes and playing dominoes. I’m looking forward to my new role as a Trustee, especially in developing the hall as part of the Maintenance team. I enjoy helping out at our tribute nights and assisting wherever I can.

Ian Harvey
Hi, I’m Ian Harvey, and I’ve lived in the village for the past few years. I’ve been a volunteer with PCDT for quite some time and am now a Trustee. I’m excited about this new role and the opportunities, experiences, and skills I might gain, even at my age! I love music, birds, dominoes, jigsaws, spending time with friends and exploring our beautiful village.
